Who AM I?

I have worked as a marketer in the entertainment industry for about two years now as a Marketing Coordinator at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center. I handle all of their public relations, email marketing, website pages and content, and work in collaboration with our creative team to create content for social media and advertising. When it comes to public relations, I specifically handle writing, distributing, recirculating, and facilitating press on site. These are all things that I have grown to love about my position. I have worked with many different promoters in the entertainment industry including Insomniac, RVLTN Events, Live Nation, Live Nite Events, Brew Ha Ha Productions, Motley Brews, and more. Throughout my time here, I have gotten to learn about many different types of genres including Reggae, Metal, EDM, and R&B.

The venue that I have taken a pleasure to work at takes on a lot of EDM artists, therefore, I have become very well versed in this genre and knowledgeable in the electronic dance music scene. This has made it easier to market to these crowds and has also made me fall in love with the rave culture. Music truly brings together people of so many different backgrounds and genres to celebrate and create unforgettable memories that they will hold close for the rest of their lives. I am proud to have contributed to events that helped form pivotal moments in people’s lives or even if it just brought a smile to their face for the day.

I have become very firm in my belief that creating content that users can interact and engage with usually brings the most promising results and usually leaves the most impact. I also am knowledgeable in hospitality, production, ticketing, event set up, and sponsorship activations on site. I have been able to work closely with a lot of different programs including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Docs (Sheets, Slides), Adobe Illustrator, Canva, Cision, Airtable, and Zoom. I strive to continue my growth as a marketer by learning new skills and putting them to use in ways I didn’t imagine to do so before.
